This is a new sculpture series based on a wooden sculpture that I first exhibited in 2015.

Different bodyparts emerge and connect in these sculptures.

I worked with the original wooden sculpture over a longer period, discovering more and more about the form and what it is about for me while working.

The theme is about the psychological structure that is created in oneself by functioning in a tight group of individuals or family. Individuals create a structure to function and exist together.  And it sometimes becomes unclear where one individual ends and the other starts. It becomes like a curvy, ever-flowing organism or knot that can be seen from many different perspectives.

There is no defined front, back, top or bottom of the sculptures so all of them can be turned over and viewed from all sides.

In the period upp to 2020 i made 12 sculptures of this series becouse I became interested in how they will function together again.

In a sence we are all made out of our tight relationships. And have become the way we are now and funcion with our fellow humans the way we do becouse of the way that it has formed us.
